FEBRUARY 24, 2009--The operating principle of the CCS sensors is based on the chromatic confocal measurement principle (STIL patent), a non-contact dimensional measurement technology. The CCS Prima sensor incorporates the "double frequency" function, which enables the sensor to work simultaneously with two different frequencies in order to optimize the quality of the measurement in each point of the analyzed surface. The user can transparently activate the function because in each point the sensor only transmits the optimized measurement. The saturation-free sensor can perform measurements on any kind of material, reflective or diffusing, and is insensitive to ambient lighting.
