AUGUST 7, 2009--Compact S15 series photoelectric sensors are 40 mm in length and mount in standard M18-size round holes. The sensors are available with a standard cable connection or a pigtail connection that will greatly reduce wiring time. With IP69K protection, they withstand high-temperature and high-pressure wash-downs and have been designed to help prevent the formation of bacteria when used with appropriate wash-down methods for use in food and beverage applications. The S15 series is available in polarized retroreflective, through-beam, diffuse, and standard retroreflective models, with a choice of NPN or PNP outputs.

PRESS RELEASE

Flexible. Compact. Washdown-rated.
NEW M18 tubular sensors have it all in one package!

Sunnyvale, CA, July 8, 2009 - New compact S15 series photoelectric sensors pack all the functions and features you would expect from larger sensors into a compact tubular form just 40mm in length. They mount in standard M18 size round holes, and the reduced depth behind the panel saves valuable real estate.

These sensors are available with a choice of standard cable connection or a pig-tail connection that will greatly reduce wiring time. One of the most important aspects of the S15 series is the IP69K degree of protection. Not only can these sensors withstand the harsh demands of high temperature and high pressure wash-downs, but they have also been designed to help prevent the formation of bacteria when used with appropriate wash-down methods. This makes S15 sensors invaluable in the food and beverage industry.

The S15 series is available in polarized retro-reflective, through-beam, diffuse, and standard retro-reflective models, with a choice of NPN or PNP outputs. Plus uniquely-designed optics and electronics allow for reliable sensing without adjustments, improving productivity and reducing installation times. This makes them perfect for applications such as pharmaceutical, packaging, material handling, and pulp and paper.
