JANUARY 19, 2010--At the ITE Yokohama show, the Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA) officially took ownership of the CoaXPress specification as the first step toward CoaXPress being published as an international standard. JIIA has assemble a working group to advance CoaXPress towards a published standard. In particular JIIA is addressing the second source issue, which has been raised as a concern, and will be able to report on progress shortly. In parallel, the CoaXPress Consortium is finalizing the proposal for version 1.0 of the protocol for JIIA. Other aspects of the standard are now well defined and overviews are presented in various articles. JIIA members may obtain the current working specification and may join the working group if they would like to contribute. The CoaXPress Consortium will be supporting JIIA with technical input and language translation to advance the specification toward a published standard. Posted by Vision Systems Design
