Specialised Imaging opens US office

FEBRUARY 8, 2010--Specialised Imaging Ltd. (Tring, UK), a developer of ultrahigh-speed imaging systems and components for industrial, military, and scientific applications, has announced it will open a North American partner company—Specialised Imaging Inc.—in April 2010.

After five years of representation in North America by IMC/Photo-Sonics (Burbank, CA, USA), which successfully brought the company's product line to market in the ultrahigh-speed imaging industry in the United States and Canada, the new office will expand and develop support for the SI product line from a dedicated sales and service facility in California.

"The US is the single largest market for our products in the world and our North American customer base has been growing strongly over recent years," says Wai Chan, managing director, Specialised Imaging Ltd. Beyond looking to better serve customers with direct local support, the new US office is expected to offer system integration and development for all company products including ultrahigh-speed framing cameras, high-speed video systems, x-ray imaging systems, lighting systems, specialty optics, and triggering systems.
