PRESS RELEASE

At VISION Stuttgart 2010, Basler Vision Technologies (Ahrensburg, Germany) will begin the next GigE innovation era and again demonstrate their technology and price leadership in the GigE camera segment.

Several GigE Camera Innovations
Basler will expand its very successful ace GigE area scan camera series by introducing four new models with Sony CCD sensors in standard resolutions. In addition, Basler will launch a set of innovative, fast, high resolution CMOS cameras within the ace series, for example, cameras with 5 megapixel resolution and 14 frames per second speed. Like all ace cameras, these new models come with a very small 29 x 29 x 42 mm housing, Power over Ethernet, and a variety of useful features. With these novel new products, Basler will revolutionize current price levels for fast, high resolution cameras.

Basler aviator cameras are currently only available with a Camera Link interface, but the new aviator GigE family will be another innovation presented at the show. The new aviator GigE models range from 1 to 4 megapixels and can capture more than 100 frames per second thanks to an innovative data transport concept. And despite the high data rates, this technology only requires one data cable.

Feature Offensive for Color Cameras
By launching a novel color image processing concept, Basler is reacting to the increasing demand for color cameras that are higher quality yet more cost effective. This concept delivers significantly higher color fidelity and color separation, which are essential for many applications in the printing, medical, and traffic industries. In many respects, the color quality is equal to the level of three CCD or tri-linear cameras, but with much lower costs.

We look forward to seeing you at booth 4B59 in hall 4.
