Hyperspectral imaging technology developer Telops (Quebec, QC, Canada) has been awarded a contract valued at $1.8 million by the Military University of Technology (Wojskowa Akademia Techniczna; MUT) in Poland. The contract includes the initial delivery and further customization of two Hyper-Cams, Telops’ hyperspectral imaging technology.

Telops' Hyper-Cam will be used by the Institute of Opto-Electronics (IOE) of MUT with the goal to support research and education in optoelectronics. The IOE is engaged in research and development in the fields of optical, electrical, and mechanical processes, components, and systems. Research projects held at the IOE cover various subjects related to optoelectronics, from basic research to development prototypes ready for applications.

‘‘We are honored to collaborate with such a prestigious European University. Our unique imaging technology will support MUT’s efforts to bring science to a higher level and enable new applications in military optical sensing,’’ says Paul Chabot, VP, sales and marketing at Telops.
