MVTec adds Adept Turnkey to distribution network

Software supplier MVTec Software has enlisted Adept Turnkey as a distributor of its machine-vision and image-processing software products Halcon and ActivVisionTools in Australia and New Zealand.

Software supplierMVTec Software (München,Germany) has enlisted Adept Turnkey as a distributor of its machine-vision and image-processing software products Halcon and ActivVisionTools in Australia and New Zealand starting in June 2011. Adept, says MVTec, will also provide technical support for customers purchasing these software tools.

Adept CEO Marc Fimeri says the Halcon and ActivVisionTools offerings as being a complement to his company's current software lineup, citing thesoftware development, hardware independence, and documentation in Halcon as adding new machine-vision capabilities for Adept customers. Adept supplies a range of machine-vision products including lighting, optics, cameras, frame grabbers, and processing hardware in addition to machine-vision software.

"Adept Turnkey Pty Ltd provides a powerful sales team which penetrates their market in an outstanding effective way," says Olaf Munkelt, MVTec's managing director. "More than that, Adept comes with a strong technical department and fully understands machine-vision technology and industry."

MVTec machine-vision offerings are used insemiconductor industry, web inspection, quality control, and other automated inspection and non-industrial vision applications such as medical imaging and surveillance.
