PennWell Corporation (Nashua, NH, USA), a global business-to-business media and information company, has named Dave Wilson as senior editor of Vision Systems Design.
Wilson joins PennWell from Centaur Media in London, where he acted as a contributing editor to The Engineer magazine and web site, as well as editor of the engineeringtalk.com and electronicstalk.com web sites.
Wilson will oversee European editorial operations of Vision Systems Design's magazine and web site, reporting to Andy Wilson, editor-in-chief. "I'm looking forward to working with a well-established team of professionals in the machine vision and image processing industry," says Dave Wilson. "This position will allow me to further expand Vision Systems Design's European presence and editorial coverage."
Andy Wilson, who is also the founding editor of Vision Systems Design, welcomed Dave Wilson as a key member of the editorial team. "Dave's reputation, knowledge and writing ability in technical journalism are unsurpassed. It is a privilege to have him join the Vision Systems Design editorial team."
Prior to his role at Centaur Media, Dave Wilson was a senior member of the staff at PennWell's Computer Design magazine, where he wrote numerous articles on semiconductors, board-level design, software, and graphical user interfaces. Wilson has an Honors degree in Physics from Warwick University, and has been involved in trade and technical publishing for 30 years.
