Distributors get illuminated

LED illumination systems maker ProPhotonix (Salem, NH, USA) has strengthened its international sales operations with the appointment of three new distribution partners in Asia, Europe and the US.

LED illumination systems maker ProPhotonix (Salem, NH, USA) has strengthened its international sales operations with the appointment of three new distribution partners in Asia, Europe and the US.

NexLase (Munich, Germany) has been named as a distributor of ProPhotonix's machine vision illumination products in Europe. NexLase was founded in 2005 and specializes in the distribution of laser and other application-specific accessories including optics and laser safety devices.

In the Far East, Nevis (New Taipei City, Taiwan) -- a custom turnkey systems developer -- will be integrating ProPhotonix's laser and LED illumination products into its end-user applications.

Founded in 2001, Saber1 (Chelmsford, MA, USA) is the new US distributor for the company. Saber1 distributes a number of vision components including software, cameras, frame grabbers and other components from major manufacturers worldwide.

In addition to designing and manufacturing diode-based laser modules and LED systems for OEMs, ProPhotonix distributes diodes for Opnext, QSI, Ondax, Sanyo and Sony. The company serves a range of markets including the machine vision, industrial inspection, defense and medical markets, and has offices and subsidiaries in the US, Ireland, and Europe.
