    NSC1101-SI is a 640 × 512-pixel wide-dynamic-range (WDR) indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs) image sensor with a 15-µm pixel size. The sensor provides a dynamic range of more than 120 dB in a single frame time. It uses the NIT readout circuit NSC1101, which is designed to interface with any photodiode array through flip-chip bonding. A logarithmic response is achieved with a patented solar-cell pixel structure. Each pixel operates as a solar cell without noticeable fixed pattern noise; signal response is maintained with changes in illumination.

    NIT will participate to the Defense Security and Sensing 2012 in Baltimore, April 23-27, where we will exhibit the World first VGA InGaAS sensor with a dynamic range of 120dB, the NSC1101-SI.

    The NSC1101-SI a 640x 512 WDR InGaAs sensor with a 15µm pixel size and provides a dynamic range of more than 120 dB in a single frame time.

    The NSC1101-SI uses the NIT Read out Circuit, NSC1101, which is designed to interface with any photodiode array through flip chip bonding. It benefits also from a logarithmic response thanks to a patented solar cell pixel structure.

    Our Native Wide Dynamic Range sensors are based on a new generation of patented CMOS imaging technology, capable of generating a highly stable image even under very wide intra scene dynamic range (>140dB) in a single frame time.

    The concept of Native WDR imaging technology is based upon an extremely innovative pixel architecture where each individual pixel operates as a single solar cell. Such a mode of operation provides an intrinsic logarithmic response, without noticeable fixed pattern noise where the signal response is invariant to change of scene illumination.

    In addition Native WDR imaging sensors deliver sharp and clear images even at high operating temperature (greater than 90°C) without the creation of pixel artifacts.
