The Automated Imaging Association (AIA; Ann Arbor, MI, USA) is looking to fill four open seats on its board of directors between 2013 and 2014.
Currently, the trade association is seeking nominees for the positions. After the current board has reviewed all the nominations, it will then select eight candidates who will be listed on a ballot that will be sent to key contacts at every company that is a member of the AIA. The four candidates who receive the most votes in the ballot will join the board in February 2013 at the AIA Business Conference.
Serving on the board requires a major commitment to the trade association. In addition to attending four meetings per year (board terms are two years each), board members are asked to be active on committees and to provide guidance throughout the year. Because the AIA is a global trade group, board members can be from any part of the world.
Founded in 1984, the AIA was organized specifically to advance the global understanding and implementation of vision and imaging technologies. Today, the AIA serves more than 330 member companies from 32 countries.
Members include manufacturers of vision components and systems, system integrators, distributors, OEMs, end users, consulting firms, academic institutions and research groups directly involved with vision and imaging.
