SkyBiometry (Vilnius, Lithuania) has been officially launched as a spin-off from Neurotechnology to provide a cloud-based face detection and recognition service.

To use the SkyBiometry cloud-based service, a user sends an image to the company's secure web server. Software then processes the image and returns a result to the user.

The software can detect multiple faces in an image simultaneously at various angles. It can find the location of the eyes, nose and mouth for each face detected and even determine gender.

In conjunction with the launch of the company, SkyBiometry has introduced a free, cloud-based face detection and recognition API. The API gives developers who are new to biometric face recognition an opportunity to explore the technology.

SkyBiometry also offers a range of paid plans and services to help customers integrate biometric technologies into their products and online services.
