Kasalis (Burlington, MA, USA) has formed a partnership with 3-EDGE (Aschheim, Germany) to distribute and provide technical support for all of its "Pixid" camera module alignment, assembly and test systems in Europe.
The Pixid systems are designed for the production of camera modules such as those used in smartphones, automotive applications, webcams, medical imaging, and security cameras. They use an active alignment technique to precisely align a camera module lens to its sensor with up to six degrees of freedom.
In January this year, Kasalis announced that it had also signed a partnership deal with the Taiwanese company Kingyoup Enterprises, who will provide sales, distribution and technical support for Kasalis products in Taiwan and mainland China.
The agreement between Kasalis and 3-EDGE officially went into effect on April 1, 2013.
