A 1.3 MpixelCCDcamera was added to the Point Grey family of Blackfly GigE Vision cameras, which are compact cameras that support Power over Ethernet. The addition is based on color and monochrome versions of the Sony ICX445 EXview HAD CCD sensor and is capable of streaming 1288x964 images at 22fps over PoE GigE. It measures at just 29 x 29 x 30mm in size and includes temperature, power, and status monitoring features, as well as an image processing pipeline for color interpolation, look up table, and gamma. In addition, the camera features a 16 Mbyte frame buffer for retransmitting images and complies with version 1.2 of the GigE Vision specification. Software packages such as Cognex VisionPro, Mathworks Image Acquisition Toolbox, Matrox Imaging Library, MVTec HALCON, and NI LabVIEW are all compatible with the new 1.3 Mpixel CCD cameras from Point Grey.
