IDS Imaging Development has released a special Linux driver for the Raspberry Pi embedded board in order to enable vision system integrators to take full advantage of ARM in visualization and initial feasibility analyses.
The Raspberry Pi, a small single-board computer that is revolutionizing the ARM-based embedded mini computer market, can be combined with the new IDS Driver and an IDS USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 camera to enable the implementation of kiosk system, microscopy, or ITS applications, according to IDS.
IDS’ USB 2 uEye XS camera, with built-in autofocus lens, digital zoom, and automatic functions, is ideal for the Raspberry Pi because of its usability and its overall image quality, suggests IDS.
