MVTec has announced a USB3 Vision interface for its HALCON machine vision software, which will provide high bandwidth in excess of 350 MB/s and a plug and play interface.

In addition, power and data are transferred via the same cable and software access is managed by the GenICam programming interface.

The HALCON USB3 Vision interface was officially validated by the Automated Imaging Association (AIA) test procedures and was successfully tested at the AIA’s plugfest on October 23, 2013 with Basler, Baumer, MATRIX VISION, Point Grey, and XIMEA cameras.

MVTec will showcase the new interface, along with its surface-based 3D vision technology, at SPS IPC Drives 2013.

The interface is available for HALCON 11 on Windows 7/8 (32-bit and 64-bit). To download the new HALCON USB3 Vision interface, click here.
