XIMEA launches new line of PCI Express cameras

XIMEA’s new xiB line of cameras feature PCI Express architecture and CMOSIS CMOS image sensors and are suitable for use in flat panel display inspection, printed circuit board examination, stadium and border security, wide area surveillance, and city mapping, among other applications.

XIMEA’s new xiB line of cameras feature PCI Express architecture and the latest CMOS image sensors from CMOSIS. The first model, the CB200, is a 20 MPixel camera which XIMEA showcased at the SPS IPC Drives show. CB200 cameras achieve a frame rate of 30 fps and feature a CMOSIS CMV20000 CMOS image sensor with 6.4 µm x 6.4 µm pixel size. The other xiB model, which will be available in Q1 of 2014, is the CB120, a 12 MPixel camera with a CMOSIS CMV12000 CMOS image sensor with 5.5 µm x 5.5 µm pixel size which achieves a frame rate of 100 fps. With an included fiberoptic cable, xiB cameras can function from distances up to 300M. Application examples include flat panel display inspection, printed circuit board examination, stadium and border security, wide area surveillance, and city mapping.
