Point Grey’s new USB3 Vision cameras feature Sony ICX625 CCD image sensor

Point Grey has announced the release of the GS3-U3-50S5 Grasshopper3 USB3 Vision camera, which is available in color and monochrome versions of the Sony ICX625 CCD image sensor.

Point Grey has announced the release of the GS3-U3-50S5 Grasshopper3 USB3 Vision camera, which is available in color and monochrome versions of the Sony ICX625 CCD image sensor. The ICX625 sensor is a 5 MPixel, 2/3” global shutter CCD image sensor with a 3.45 µm x a 3.45 µm pixel size that is capable of streaming 2448 x 2048 pixel images at 15 fps. The cameras feature an image processing pipeline that enables color interpolation, look up table, gamma correction, pixel binning and USB3 Vision support. Grasshopper3 GS3-U3-50S5 cameras are suitable for use in optical inspection, 3D imaging, intelligent traffic systems, and more.
