The use of multiple cameras—including smart cameras and PC-based systems—for inspection purposes in manufacturing lines continues to grow. With the proper setup, multiple-camera systems can improve product quality and minimize waste, but addressing the specific system requirements is key to achieving this success. In this free webcast, Nigel Holmes, Vision Systems Development Manager, Federal-Mogul Corp., will address these requirements and review a number of trends, including the demands for greater robustness of such systems.

Holmes will go into detail on system requirements such as resolution, acquisition and processing speed, and networking, and will also explore design issues including how system specifications impact system design and how user interfaces are growing in importance.

This webcast is sponsored by Point Grey, Teledyne DALSA, and Matrox.
