FLIR Systems, Inc. has announced upgrades to its Tau and Quark OEM infrared camera core products in the form of enhanced image processing features and radiometric capabilities. The Tau 2 and Quark 2, both of which feature uncooled VOx microbolometer thermal imagers in a number of pixel arrays, now offer built-in temperature measurement for radiometry, analytics, and telemetry and offer users the ability to set isotherm thresholds in the grey scale to colorize temperatures of interest in the gray scale. Tau 2 camera cores offer increased sensitivity (<30mK), options for 640/60Hz frame rates, and feature manually-set image processing modes. Quark 2 camera cores feature silent shutterless non-uniformity correction and also support options for 640/60Hz frame rates, and the same suite of image processing modes as Tau 2.
