Kaya Instruments’ Predator CoaXPress frame grabber—which will be on display at VISION 2014—is capable of receiving video streams of up to 4 CoaXPress links in single, dual, and quad modes for simultaneous capture from up to two dual link or four single link cameras or single quad link camera. Each link in the frame grabber supports standard CoaXPress bit rates up to 6.25 Gbps and can transmit the video streams to computer memory through PCIe Gen2 x4 links. Also on display at Kaya Instruments’ booth will be the Chameleon CoaXPress camera simulator, which is capable of generating video streams and test patterns of up to four CoaXPress links in single, dual, and quad modes. Like the Predator, each link in the simulator supports standard CoaXPress bit rates up to 6.25 Gbps. In addition, Kaya Instruments will have its CoaXPress Range Extender over Fiber, which provides a high-resolution stream interface for distances up to 10 km in single mode and up to 400m in multi-mode.
