On display at theEdmund Optics booth at LASER World of Photonics 2015 will be the Dynamic Focus VZM Lens, and the Variable Magnification Telecentric Lens. The Dynamic Focus VZM is a liquid lens technology-enabled lens, which can seamlessly adjust focus while maintaining zoom capabilities, as compared to a traditional zoom imaging lens for variable depth imaging. The lenses (pictured) utilize an internal liquid lens and adjust focus over a 7X range, from 0.65X to 4.6X, while maintaining the zoom capabilities of the standard VZM zoom imaging lenses.
TheVariable Magnification Telecentric Lenses enable users to select the exactly field of view needed for a particular application. Featuring a usable range from 0.3X to 0.5X, users can dial in the field they want on up to a 2/3” image sensor. The lenses feature focus, zoom, and iris adjustment and are suitable for use in inspection and gauging applications.
