On display at the Pleora booth atNI Week 2015 from August 3-6 will be the iPORT CL-U3 external frame grabbers, which transform Camera Link medium or base cameras into a USB3 Vision-compliant video stream in a range of computing platforms without needing a PCI/PCIe frame grabber. The frame grabbers feature line scan and area scan modes, a 128 MB frame buffer, throughput approaching 3 Gb/s, record playback and functionality, and Power over Camera Link with models CL-U3B-IND and CL-U3M-IND. Furthemore, the frame grabbers feature an on-board programmable logic controller which enables users to measure, synchronize, trigger, and control the operation of other vision system elements. iPORT CL-U3 frame grabbers are suitable for use in such applications as life sciences, factory automation, and robotics. In the live demonstration, images from a Camera Link camera will be converted into USB3 Vision and streaming the images in LabVIEW software.
