USB3 Vision cameras from Point Grey feature Python CMOS sensor from ON Semiconductor

Learn more about the latest USB3 Vision cameras from Point Grey, which are based on color and monochrome versions of the ON Semiconductor PYTHON1300 CMOS image sensor and target such applications as factory automation, 3D scanning, barcode reading, and tracking applications.

Based on color and monochrome versions of the ON Semiconductor PYTHON1300 CMOS image sensor, the new Chameleon3 CM3-U3-13Y3 cameras from Point Grey target such applications as factory automation, 3D scanning, barcode reading, and tracking applications. The PYTHON1300 sensor is a 1/2" 1.3 MPixel global shutter sensor that is capable of running at 149 fps at full resolution and up to 470 fps in pixel binning mode. The USB3 Vision cameras—which are available in a compact 44 x 35 x 19.5 mm case or as a 40 x 31 mm board stack—also feature an on-camera frame buffer for image retransmission, opto-isolated GPIO with locking connection, and a CS-Mount lens mount.
