Basler has announced a new key hire in Asia Pacific territory that will provide better support for local customers and to expand its presence in Asia.
William Lau, who has previously held strategic account manager and regional sales manager positions, has more than 20 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry. Prior to joining Basler, Lau served in a range of roles, including the handling of distribution channels and key customers of Freescale Semiconductor in the Asia Pacific region.
In his new role, Lau—who will work out of Basler’s Asia office in Singapore—will focus on strengthening Basler’s sales team in the Asia Pacific region to achieve regional sales objectives.

"With his exceptional expertise in sales, we are going to strengthen our sales presence and expand revenue growth in Asia Pacific."
Basler also strengthened its global presence earlier this year by announcing key hires inCanada and in Benelux countries.
