Allied Vision has extended its Prosilica GT line of large format industrial cameras with a new lens mount option. The electro-focus (EF) lens control provides a ruggedized, all-in-one EF-lens control solution that offers simplified lens control via GenICam feature access, negating the need for any serial commands. With an EF lens, the Prosilica GT Large Format camera can automatically focus sequentially on subjects in different distances and is suitable for use in such applications as logistic processes, such as the scanning and tracking of boxes of different sizes on a conveyor belt. Furthermore, power is provided to the lens via Power over Ethernet and also features precise iris (P-Iris) and focus control.
