Automation and machine vision in focus at Automation World 2016

Now in its 26th year, Automation World 2016 is expected to bring together more than 20,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors from the factory automation and machine vision markets in Seoul, South Korea’s Coex Convention Center. 

Now in its 26th year, Automation World 2016 is expected to bring together more than 20,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors from the factory automation and machine vision markets in Seoul, South Korea’s Coex Convention Center from March 9-11.

The conference features two separate shows: The 26th Annual Factory & Process Automation Exhibition (aimex), and the 4th Annual Korea Machine Vision Industry show. Originally launched in 1990 as the Korea International Factory Automation System Exhibition (KOFA), aimex is Korea’s first exhibition dedicated to factory automation. The show is held each year to share innovative technologies, ideas, and solutions in the automation industry, and will feature a number of exhibition items:

  • Motion control and robots
  • Industrial computers
  • Sensors and controls
  • Factory automation systems and components
  • Industrial software
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic components
  • Logistics automation systems

Launched in 2011, The Korea Vision Show is the first show organized by the Korea Vision Association and Coex Co., Ltd. It is held to showcase the technologies and solutions in the machine vision industry, including:

  • Machine vision systems
  • Industrial cameras (smart cameras, area scan cameras, line scan cameras, infrared cameras, X-ray cameras, high-speed cameras.)
  • Vision sensors
  • Machine vision lighting, optics, lenses, and filters
  • Cables, plugs, and other accessories

Additionally, the show will highlight a number of other technologies and products, including barcode reading, OCR/OCV, security systems, quality inspection, robotic vision, pattern recognition, 2D/3D measurement, intelligent transportation systems, and medical imaging.

In addition, The Korea Vision Show will feature machine vision seminars and networking events.
