TriSpector 10003D vision sensors from SICK, which are available in six models, are designed for 3D inspection in such machine vision applications as quality control, food processing, and packaging. The IP67 protection class vision sensors use laser (red light, 660 nm) triangulation on objects to produce 3D images at speeds of up to 2,000 3D profiles/s. The sensors acquire multiple height profiles to build a 3D image of an object. Embedded 3D image analysis tools are applied to the 3D images and results are sent to a control system via external interfaces (GigE). TriSpector 1000 3D vision sensors feature a "small photoelectric proximity sensor for object detection and triggering 3D image acquisition," according to the company.
