USB 3.0 camera from e-con Systems targets low-light imaging applications

Based on an AR0330 CMOS image sensor from ON Semiconductor, the See3CAM_CU30 from e-con Systems is a board-level USB 3.0 camera designed for low-light imaging applications. 

Based on an AR0330 CMOS image sensor from ON Semiconductor, the See3CAM_CU30 from e-con Systems is a board-levelUSB 3.0 camera designed for low-light imaging applications. The AR0330 sensor is a 3.4 MPixel CMOS sensor sensitive in the NIR range with a 2.2 µm pixel size that—in the See3CAM_CU30—streams 1080p at 60 fps and full resolution at 30 fps. The camera also has an on-board image signal processor chip that performs such functions as auto white balance, auto exposure control, in addition to complete image signal processing functions and MJPEG encoding. Additionally, the 30mm x 30mm camera has an S-Mount lens mount and is a UVC-compliant camera is plug-and-play play in both Windows and Linux without requiring additional drivers.
