Machine vision filters from Midwest Optical Systems to be shown at VISION 2016

Oct. 24, 2016
StablEDGE machine vision optical filters, acrylic filters, and a high-temperature, high-contrast glass linear polarizer to be shown from Midwest Optical Systems at VISION 2016.

On display at the Midwest Optical Systems (MidOpt) booth at VISION 2016will be the company’s StablEDGE optical filters, acrylic filters, and a high-temperature, high-contrast glass linear polarizer.

StablEDGE optical filters feature a hybrid design that maintains critical spectral performance in imaging applications with short focal length lenses (<12mm) or angular-dependent lighting. These filters maintain a desired width of passband in all applications, transmitting desired LED/laser diode illumination while blocking interfering light. StablEDGE filters are available in the visible to near-infrared spectral range with a peak transmission generally greater than or equal to 90%.

Additionally, MidOpt will showcase its new acrylic filters, which consist of a durable and lightweight optical grade acrylic with StablEDGE design that can be precision laser cut to any shape or size for lens protection and to control the wavelength emission for broad spectrum light sources. Lastly, MidOpt will showcase its PG120 temperature, high-contrast glass linear polarizer. This product is designed to reduce glare, increase color saturation, and improve overall image quality when inspecting highly-reflective surfaces in harsh, high-temperature environments.
