At VISION 2016,Colin Pearce, CEO of Active Silicon spoke about his company, latest products, and live imaging demonstrations that took place on the show floor.
Pearce describes the company as one within the imaging and embedded systems business that typically provides its products to customers designing larger systems, such as those in medical imaging, medical devices, life sciences, and industrial automation. The company develops products in three areas: Frame grabbers, camera interface boards, and embedded systems.
Among the live demonstrations at VISION 2016 was a four-camera, high-speed acquisition demo that used the company’s Firebird CoaXPress frame grabber. Another demonstration involved four USB3 Vision cameras running over a 6-meter active cable to one of the company’s embedded systems that would be used in a medical application.
