At VISION 2016, Wojciech Majewski, Sales Director, Vieworks, discussed his company’s TDI line scan cameras from the show floor.
Founded in 1999, Vieworks has been a leading designer of advanced digital medical imaging systems and machine vision cameras. Vieworks technological competence in areas such as optics, mechanics, electronics and software enabled Vieworks to become on

At VISION 2016, Wojciech Majewski, Sales Director, Vieworks, discussed his company’s TDI line scan cameras from the show floor.

Vieworks’ Time Delayed Integration (TDI) line scan camera series, the VT series, feature hybrid TDI line scan image sensors. The hybrid TDI sensor with CCD pixel structure is implemented by using CMOS technology. This technology, according to Majewski, takes the best of both worlds.

"We are taking the pixel array from CCD, which gives us beautiful, perfect image quality and high signal-to-noise ratio; and in TDI, when we do the accumulation and transfer, it is practically noiseless. At the same time, the chip structure is based on CMOS technology, which translates to very fast readout time."

At VISION, Vieworks introduced a 23k camera, which features 256 stages, while also showcasing a number of its other TDI line scan cameras. Learn more about the hybrid structure of the TDI line scan cameras, and its benefits, by watching this VISION show video.
