Jan. 19, 2017
Designed for use with ProMetric imaging photometers and colorimeters, the new conoscope lens from Radiant Vision Systems measures the color, luminance, and contrast of multiple angular distributions of light at once, allowing flat panel display (FPD) manufacturers to capture viewing angle performance measurements for displays in real time

Designed for use with ProMetric imaging photometers and colorimeters, the new conoscope lens from Radiant Vision Systems measures thecolor, luminance, and contrast of multiple angular distributions of light at once, allowing flat panel display (FPD) manufacturers to capture viewing angle performance measurements for displays in real time. The lens has a working distance of 3 mm, a 3 mm diameter sampling size, and a viewing angle of ±60°. Additionally, the conoscope lens provides an angular resolution of 0.06° per CCD pixel. By mounting a conoscope lens directly to a ProMetric imaging photometer or colorimeter, Radiant Vision Systems now offers a solution for viewing angle performance measurement for a range of display types, including those based on LCD and OLED technologies, as well as backlights.
