At SPIE DCS 2017, Pleora Technologies will demonstrate its networked video capabilities for local situational awareness (LSA) systems. Pleora’s technology can convert existing imaging sources into GigE Vision and then multicast the video feed to display panels and processing units. Typically, notes the company, these have been custom projects, but vDisplay HDI-Pro external frame grabbers have also been used with these systems. These external frame grabbers are a solid-state device for display of video from GigE Vision-compliant cameras over an HDMI or DVI interface with low and consistent latency, and are able to autonomously control GigE Vision cameras without the need for a software control application.
