Delta Optical Thin Film will showcase its continuously variable bandpass filters for hyperspectral imagingat LASER World of Photonics from June 26-29 in Munich, Germany. The filters are developed for mid-size and full-frame CCD or CMOS sensors (e.g. 25 mm x 25 mm or 24 mm x 36 mm) and offer very high transmission levels and are fully blocked in the light sensitive wavelength range of silicon-based detectors (200 nm to 1150 nm or higher). Currently, three models of the filters, which feature a blocking level of OD4, are available:
- Center wavelength range of 450 to 880 nm, bandwidth approximately 2% of center wavelength, transmission 60 to 90%, blocking range 200 nm to 1150 nm, for sensor size 24 x 36 mm.
- Center wavelength range of 450 to 850 nm, bandwidth approximately 4% of center wavelength, transmission 70 to 90%, blocking range 200 nm to 1100 nm, for sensor size 25 x 25 mm.
- Center wavelength range of 796 to 1084 nm, bandwidth approximately 1% of center wavelength, transmission >85%, blocking range 200 nm to 1150 nm, for sensor size 32 x 18 mm.
Combined with silicon detectors, these filters enable the design of compact and affordable hyperspectral imaging detectors, according to Delta Optical Thin Film.
