Collaborative robots and advanced vision technologies rank among the most popular topics in the industry today. Recognizing this, the AIAwill host a two-day conference this fall which will explore a range of current advancements in both fields focusing on technology, applications, safety implications, and human impacts.

Held November 15-16 at the Doubletree by Hilton San Jose in San Jose, CA, USA; the conference aims to serve OEMs, integrators, startups, venture capitalists, educations, end users, and potential users in industries including automotive, agriculture, life sciences, medicine, and consumer. Collaborative robots today are driving one of the most transformative periods in the robotics industry. Advancements with sensors, software and end-of-arm tooling are expanding collaborative robot capabilities and applications, writes the AIA on its event website.

The conference aims to introduce attendees to the technologies, trends, challenges, and people that are "disrupting the status quo with revolutionary innovations." In will provide educational seminars and strategy sessions as well as an area to showcase the latest technologies. Additionally, the conference will provide users with a detailed overview of ISO/TS 15066 Safety for collaborative applications, while also demonstrating how machine vision and sensing is being used in collaborative robot technologies.

In addition to this conference, A3 will host two other events this fall that focus on automation technologies. The first is the National Robot Safety Conference, which will be held October 10-12 in Pittsburg, PA, USA, and the second is the MCMA TechCon, which is held October 16-18 in Minneapolis, MN, USA, which focuses on motion control, motor, and automation technologies.

"Automation technologies are fueling entirely new categories of jobs—really creating the jobs of the future—in addition to enabling companies to become more productive and create higher-quality products in safer environments," said Jeff Burnstein, A3 president.

He continued, "From instruction on implementing robot safety measures to helping attendees understand the latest collaborative robot, vision and motion control technologies, these conferences will present valuable training and networking opportunities while also, assisting companies in moving forward with automation advances. This enables them to grow their businesses, be more competitive in the global marketplace, and enrich the economic ecosystems of their communities."

An agenda for the conference is forthcoming, but initial information isavailable here.
