The turnkey ShapeGrabber computer-aided inspection system for part-to-CAD verification and inspection provides 15,360-points/s digitizing with patented laser-scanning technology, 0.001-in. (25-μm) measurement accuracy, interchangeable scanning heads, choice of motion platforms, no-fixture scanning, easy-stitch alignment, and supporting software. It compares parts and tools and produces color-coded 3-D CAD files without the need for dimensional drawings. Free-form surfaces are scanned and captured in three dimensions as high-density data points. Price is $49,900.
