Flying under the radar: Five uses of (now legal) vision-enabled UAVs in America

While the FAA is sure to push for an official legally-binding regulation on the use of UAVs, here are a number of different companies and individuals have taken to the sky in these five UAV applications.

News recently surfaced that a ruling from a US federal judge indicated that there technically isn't an official rule against the commercial use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), or drones, in America despite the fact that for some time now, we've assumed that flying them commercially is illegal. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is sure to push for an official legally-binding regulation on the use of commercial UAVs, but for now, a number of different companies and individuals have taken to the sky in these five UAV applications.
