MAY 27--Gemicer (Manchester, NH), developer of the ConnexArray digital image-processing platform, has changed its name to Connex Technology (www.connextechnology.com). Connex Technology is a fabless semiconductor company developing image-processing platforms that enable capabilities in digital imaging and video. ConnexArray, its flagship technology, powers digital image processors, offering throughput capabilities of more than 200 Mpixels/s and less than 4 mW/Mpixel per second power consumption. ConnexArray is a convergence of established architectures that combines the performance of digital signal processors (DSPs) with the efficiency of ASICs.

Connex Technology unveiled its new logo and Web site on May 27. The parallel multihued planes of red, green, and blue comprising the 'E' in the Connex logo reflect the parallel-processing and digital-imaging capabilities of the company's core technology.
