MAY 11--Robotic Vision Systems Inc. (RVSI; Nashua, NH; www.rvsi.com) has received a follow-on order for approximately $300,000 for machine-vision products from an internationally recognized consumer-products company. The Visionscape 4000 systems will be delivered by RVSI's Acuity CiMatrix division during May and June. The product application is for high-speed quality control inspection using multiple cameras.
"This follow-on order results from the customer's continuing satisfaction that RVSI delivers reliable and capable machine-vision products," said Ray England, vice president--worldwide sales and marketing for Acuity CiMatrix. "The customer needs to perform a simultaneous, multisided inspection of its products to ensure that each one is perfect in terms of printing and packaging, yet do so on lines moving at up to 500 units per minute. We were told that Visionscape delivered the reliability and uptime required in a high-volume manufacturing environment."
