JUNE 13--Vitronic (Wiesbaden, Germany; www.vitronic.de) held the official ground-breaking ceremony for a new industrial-automation tasks production plant and an expansion of the administration and development building in Wiesbaden on 12 June. The new facility will be located next to Vitronic's central administration and development building, with a total investment price of approx. 10 million euros.
Helmut Georg Mueller, minister of finance and economic affairs in Wiesbaden, gave the official signal for the ground-breaking ceremony. According to G.B.B.N, the financial investor, the production plant will be finished at the beginning of second-quarter 2007, when Vitronic will begin leasing the building. The new facilities, as well as the surrounding grounds, are designed for future needs, including easily integrated expansion options. Norbert Stein, head of Vitronic, said, "The new production plant comes up to our expectations on modern production plants for the future."
Vitronic's current production plant will relocate from Ginsheim-Gustavsburg to Wiesbaden, where it will be closer to the development and engineering departments. The new building will offer an extra 5000 sq meters of production space to Vitronic's approx. 300 employees. An additional floor will also be added to Vitronic's administrative and development building to provide an extra 1200 sq meters.
