Webcast reviews machine vision in auto applications

In a new free-to-attend webcast from Vision Systems Design, Stephen L. Jones, the lead engineer responsible for machine vision at General Motors, will review the machine vision systems that are used in the automobile industry for traceability, inspection and robot guidance.

Powertrain engine and transmission assembly are among the most demanding manufacturing operations in the automobile industry, and machine vision is a critical enabling technology.

In a new free-to-attend webcast from Vision Systems Design, Stephen L. Jones, the lead engineer responsible for machine vision at General Motors, will review the machine vision systems that are used in the automobile industry for traceability, inspection and robot guidance, and explore the particular demands that the operations place on vision systems.

He will also discuss important technological advances in vision system components, such as image servers, 3D imaging, and the color algorithms that impact powertrain manufacturing.

Included in the webcast will be suggestions on how to evaluate qualified machine vision professionals. In an interactive question and answer session, audience members will have the opportunity to ask questions related to their own applications.
