The HDI Advance 3D scanning system from LMI Technologies is being launched at the Siggraph Exhibition in Anaheim, Calif., from July 23-25.

The next generation of the HDI Advance3D scanning system from LMI Technologies is being launched at the Siggraph Exhibition in Anaheim, Calif., from July 23-25. This 3D scanner features a pair of 2.8 Mpixel monochrome USB 3.0 cameras with 3 Mpixel 12 mm lenses, an adjustable field of view, and a sleeker mount design than the previous version. The scanner comes with FlexScan3D, which is proprietary scanning software that allows for the processing of 3D scanner data and includes built-in data editing, alignment, and merging capabilities. The HDI Advance 3D scanner is suitable for use in 3D visualization, 3D inspection, reverse engineering, or rapid prototyping.
