Newnex has announced the release of the FireNEX-uHUB, the first USB3 Vision compliant industrial hub, which features one upstream USB 3.0 B port and four downstream USB 3.0 A ports. In addition to the standard USB 3.0 5V DC power input, the hub also features a DC power input for voltage between 10V and 40V for industrial use. FireNEX-uHUB was tested on the following USB 3.0 cameras: Basler Ace, Point Grey Grasshopper3 and Flea3, Lumenera Lt225, The Imaging Source DMK an DFK, Ximea XiQ, and IDS uEye. With the FireNEX-uHUB, these cameras worked well at 10 meters from a PC (with passive cables, 5 meters on each side), and up to 24 meters from a PC (with active repeater cables, 12 meters on each side.)
