Matrox Imaging is offering classroom training on the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) imaging software development kit, as well as the MIL/MIL-Lite environment at the company’s Montreal, Canada headquarters from April 7-11.

First released in 1993, MIL is a collection of software tools for developing machine vision, image analysis, and medical imaging software applications. It includes tools from application feasibility and prototyping to development and deployment. MIL enables image capture, processing, analysis, annotating, display, and archiving, all of which are designed to reduce the time and effort required to bring a solution to market.

Some recent applications that utilize Matrox Imaging Library include:

Matrox Imaging Library Processing is an intensive three-day course which explains how to select the best image processing tools for an application and demonstrates how to use them to their full potential. In addition, Matrox is offering Introduction to the MIL/MIL-Lite Environment, which is a two-day course that includes a general overview of the software and shows users how to set up a development environment and cover the basics of managing image buffers, capture, and display.
