Microscan will introduce the latest version of its AutoVISION machine vision product suite, version 3.0, at the AIA Vision Show in Boston from April 15-17. Newly added features in the AutoVISION 3.0 software release include additional machine vision capabilities such as optical character recognition with IntelliText algorithms for hard-to-read text, DotCode symbol support, barcode quality verification reports in PDF or plain text, and four password-protected security levels to control access to software functionality. In addition, the new web-based CloudLink HMI feature generates a visual display of AutoVISION machine vision inspection data on any browser-enabled device, including smartphones and tablets. CloudLink has a customizable dashboard interface that enables real-time viewing of linked inspection images and results while the application programming interface allows CloudLink to be added to custom software.

Microscan will also launch the new industrial Vision MINI Xi, a fully-integrated smart camera with embedded Ethernet, serial connectivity, a 24-volt interface, and optically-isolated I/O that was designed for industrial machine vision applications.
