OmniVision introduces two new CameraChip sensors for security and surveillance applications

OmniVision Technologies Inc. has announced the release of the OV5658 and OV10823 CameraChip image sensors, which are designed specifically for security and surveillance applications.

OmniVision Technologies Inc. has announced the release of the OV5658 and OV10823 CameraChip image sensors, which are designed specifically for security and surveillance applications. The OV5658 sensor is a 1/3.2” 5 MPixel CameraChip sensor with a 1.75 µm x 1.75 µm pixel size that achieves a frame rate of 30 fps at full resolution. The OV10823 sensor is a 1/2.6” 10 MPixel CameraChip sensor with a 1.4 µm x 1.4 µm pixel size that achieves a frame rate of 30 fps at full resolution. Both image sensors feature programmable controls for frame rate, mirror and flip, cropping, and windowing,
