Smart Vision Lights has announced the release of the new XR256 series high-speed strobe lights, which are capable for up to 5,000 strobes per second and have a pulsed energy rating of 2000 watts when LEDs are active. XR256 lights have a 256mm of squared area of LED die running at up to 2000 watts in comparison to a standard LED light which has on average a 3-12 mm squared area of LED die running at 3-12 watts. The lights also feature SafeStrobe Technology, which ensures that the LEDs are protected from overheating and premature degradation. In addition, the lights run in pulse following or pulse initiated operation and feature internal storage of power drive energy and 20 µS - 1 mS settable strobe pulse. XR256 strobe lights are suitable for use in industrial machine vision applications.
