Andor Technology Ltd. has announced the release of the Zyla 5.5 HF, a fiber-coupled scientific CMOS (sCMOS) camera designed for the detection of X-ray and neutrons. The 5.5 MPixel camera features 16.6 x 14 mm sensor with a 6.5 µm x 6.5 µm pixel size that achieves a frame rate of 100 fps at full frame. A fiber-optic design maximizes photon throughput and ensures the highest image fidelity relay from the scintillator, and a modular architecture allows the coupling of a wide range of scintillators, fiber-optic tapers, and Beryllium filters. The camera also features user-defined region of interest mode with 1 pixel granularity and hardware binning. The Zyla 5.5 HF camera is suitable for use in X-ray materials imaging, non-invasive X-ray, biomedical imaging, and neutron tomography applications.
