In the October edition of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) newsletter, it was announced that two new members, BalaJi MicroTechnologies, and Pi miCos GmbH, were added to the association.

New Delhi, India-based BalaJi MicroTechnologies is a manufacturer of digital imaging systems for a wide variety of applications, including factory automation, security and surveillance, and medical imaging. The company designs, develops, and manufacturers machine vision products such as line scan cameras, lenses, and cameras.
Pi miCos, which is based in Eschbach, Germany, specializes in developing systems and components in micro and nano-positioning, photonics, and laser technology. In addition, the company offers system integration and design services in the field of motion control and optics, including software, electronics, and mechanics. The company offers a range of standard products as well as experimental kits used in education and research.
The EMVA newsletter also provided some information on the International Machine Vision Standards booth at the VISION 2014. At the booth, the EMVA, AIA, and JIAA will once again gather to present the most commonly used digital interface standards in the industry and offer advice on which standard is most suitable for a particular application. For the first time ever, the booth will offer hourly standards tutorials during all three show days, as well as a live introduction on the features of the individual standards. The tutorials will provide a look into the architecture, capabilities, and application fields of each standard.
